a) It's not really a story. It's a long form commercial.
b) Tom Hanks has associated himself with so many shady things you have to wonder about the pairing of Hanks with the "girl" from the Harry Potter franchise. See Hanks in the "Sexy Baby Skit" which aired on SNL and his now deleted creepy Insta account.
c) Never underestimate the amount of money Hollywood is being paid or will gleefully accept to degrade itself with any and all agendas that pay well enough. As any prostitute knows is the measure.
Thanks for your article. I had erased this movie from my mind but it's worth remembering.
I think they release movies like this years before they start enacting policies that push us towards the same outcomes. They want people to forget they saw the movies, so they put enough time between the release and the real world implementation. For instance, Contagion came out in 2011. When COVID was "released", there were some allusions made to it, but not many (despite the stark similarities). Sanjay Gupta even "played" a doctor in the movie and then "played" a doctor during COVID, but a lot of people didn't draw those parallels because so much time had elapsed.
The movie is revolting on many levels.

Thankfully we now know that the only contagion is psychological.
Doesn't that transcript below the video remind you of the zombie trope which also was big around the same time? 🤔
I'm glad it didn't come to this!
I'm not sure how they're gonna pull it off another shamdemic again. 😂
I agree 100%. This is how social engineering works.
You have not correctly spelt bureau rats.
Sounds like half of the episodes of Black Mirror on Netflix
