Fuck the Lesser of Two Evils

Don't really want to vote for Biden or Trump in 2024, but feel like you have to? Why? This is our country. Why shouldn't we the people have a say in who runs it?

I have a serious question for all of you:

Who here actually wants to vote for Biden, Trump, RFK Jr., Chase Oliver, or whatever independents are running this year?

I don’t mean voting because someone is the lesser of two evils. I mean voting because you wholeheartedly believe that your candidate is the very best person for the job and 100% has the American people’s interests at heart.

Can anyone even say that with these candidates that the powers-that-be have chosen for us?

Doesn’t it bother you that we aren’t actually represented in our government? That we don’t really get a say on who the candidates are? That no matter who is in power we get fucked over and over again?

Sure, if you’re registered with a party, you get to believe that your vote matters during the primaries. But make no mistake: Those clowns were all selected for us as well and the candidate chosen way in advance.

I don’t follow much in the way of politics on Instagram anymore since I just can’t stomach it. There are a couple of Libertarian pages I follow, but they’ve all become Trump/MAGA accounts since the start of this year.

Like I’ve said before, this whole thing is nothing more than a show.

We’re all just waiting for next week’s episode to come out to tell us who to love, who to hate, what sort of drama to get wrapped up in, etc.

But I’m so fucking tired of this. I really am. And, no, I won’t vote for the supposed lesser of two evils because a third-party vote or no-vote is a vote for Biden. What a stupid argument.

There are a lot of people in pain right now and are fed up. Rather than fight amongst ourselves about which Depends-wearing senior citizen is going to fuck us over less, why don’t we come up with an alternative plan?

We don’t want any of the candidates they’ve chosen for us. Right?

I mean, we all know why Biden and his puppet masters shouldn’t win four more years. But we’re in agreement that Trump is just as much of a scorpion who’ll prick us again, right? Right? This dude showed us who he is. Enough of the excuses about how the swamp was too deep or how he was tricked. Or the claims that this time he’s out for blood.

WAKE UP.

The establishment wants us to fight over these two choices. They want us to laugh at Chase Oliver and to disregard RFK as a viable choice, and to return again to this debate over and over again:

Do we want a giant douche or a turd sandwich?

Why do you think Trump is constantly in the news? Between his lawsuits and turning the Libertarian Convention into the Trump Show (as was intended), it’s all by design. Just like the lead-up to 2016. And we of course can’t get away from the shuffling, mumbling disaster in the White House no matter how hard we try.

The two of them are on our screens every day for a reason.

So let’s stop playing their game.

Here’s what I’m suggesting:

We vote. But not for any of the candidates selected for us. Instead, we agree to write in the same name. This is our country. Why can’t we choose who sits at the head of it for once?

I say we write in Thomas Massie. Or Rand Paul.

Could we all get behind one of them? Or does it need to devolve into distracted and childish infighting, too?

Both men are reasonably aged. We’ve seen their track records when it comes to fighting against bloated omnibus bills, holding Fauci’s feet to the fire, and trying to protect Americans’ freedoms. And, my god, Massie drinks raw milk.

I know that not every state allows for write-in votes. I also know that the write-in “candidates” actually need to register as such. Which seems intentionally devious by design.

They don’t want Americans to wield any real power, so they make it impossible for us to say “none of the above”. We have to reveal our intent to revolt by making our write-in candidate register ahead of time.

And, honestly, I don’t know if we have enough time to gain real momentum with this. We’d have to agree on one person to write in. There’ll be tons of pushback from MAGA and progressives. And most of the somewhat sane liberals and conservatives won’t want to do it because it requires too much work and checking “Biden” or “Trump” seems much easier.

But isn’t it worth trying?

We already know Trump is going to win this November. I can feel the pendulum swinging. I can’t be the only one. There’s a strong ultra-conservative movement that’s been generating for some time now, and I think the logical conclusion to where it’s heading is his second term.

So, knowing this, knowing that our votes don’t matter and our freedoms when it comes to voting is an illusion, can’t we at least just stand together — as many of us as there are — to write in someone that we trust and want to stand behind?

At the very least, I’d love to see Massie’s or Paul’s name on my screen with 10% or 15% of our votes. It doesn’t matter if they don’t register. I just want the establishment to know that we fucking hate them and are tired of playing their game. Or, better yet, we get our chosen candidate to register and we get enough people to write them in to disrupt the whole thing and prevent every candidate from failing to get enough votes.

It’s nothing more than a pipe dream, I know that. But fuck it. I’m tired of talking in circles about how things need to change and then doing nothing about it. I want to do something that matters and something that won’t force any of us to compromise our principles or our values or our freedoms all because we didn’t want the “worst” of the worst candidates to win.
