Trump and Why the Republicans Are Hypocrites
If you're a conservative, Republican, or otherwise free thinker, you should be concerned about the candidates that were *chosen* for this election. tl;dr: We're fucked.
I saw an Instagram post the other day where Republicans were discussing the potential debates between Trump and Biden, and Trump’s running mate and Kamala.
They started griping about how neither Biden nor Kamala will show up for the debates. But, um, Trump didn’t show up to any of the Republican debates.
You can’t sit there and complain when one party does or doesn’t do something, but then excuse your party when they do the same thing.
Everyone should be held to the same standard. Trump should’ve been disqualified for not participating in the party’s debates. As Biden should have been when he didn’t debate for the presidency in 2020.
Let’s be honest: Republicans didn’t want Trump to debate because he would’ve been held accountable for his COVID record. And they’d rather keep sweeping that under the rug and pretend like he was our holy savior.
DeSantis would’ve made damn sure to bring up COVID during the debates. Ramaswamy might’ve tried, though I doubt it. With his stake in big pharma, big tech, and the support he lended to the COVID “recovery” efforts, I think he would’ve kept his mouth shut. But it would’ve been wonderful to hear Ron take Trump on since no one else will even breach the subject with him.
And Speaking of Why Trump Doesn’t Deserve the Nom
Just so we’re clear, I’m not a Democrat or liberal. Heck, I’m technically not even a Republican or conservative as I don’t register with any party nor do I vote down party lines.
If I had my way, I’d burn the government to the ground. But since we’re in a position where someone is going to “lead” us no matter how I feel, I’m just going to say this:
You should not be voting for Trump (or Biden, for that matter).
He’s a senior citizen. Why the hell do Republicans want another octogenarian to run the country? Who knows how long Trump will be in good health for. People at that age can deteriorate overnight.
Plus, it’s not like he has any stake in the policies he implements. Whereas he might live a bit longer, we are the ones who have to deal with the consequences of his policies for decades to come. And even if he does live on for some time, he’s so filthy stinking rich that he’ll be mostly unaffected by the further damage he does to average American citizens.
Let’s not forget COVID. He implemented 15 days to slow the spread. He also empowered Fauci and gave the evil troll midget a medal. And he still brags about bringing us the clot shots.
He signed the CARES Act which kicked off the runaway inflation/recession we’re now dealing with. He also hit the pause button on student loan payments, which opened up the discussion about whether students should have to pay back their loans at all. (Yes, they fucking should.)
Let’s not forget all the 2016 campaign promises he never fulfilled, including imposing Congress term limits. And all the swampy members he filled his cabinet with and supported. And the swamp/RINOs/America-last politicians he continues to support. You know, like him pushing for McCarthy to be Speaker of the House.
Don’t give me that, “But he was blocked at every turn!”. If that’s true, what makes 2024 any different? Because he’s extra-super-duper mad this time? Give me a break. Either he lied to us about why shit didn’t pass or he got steamrolled.
Why do we want someone like that in office?
And as I rewatched Snowpiercer the other night, I became even more convinced that Trump is our Gilliam.
tl;dr: Trump is playing his part for the New World Order.
Want to hear my extra-crazy theory on this? Scroll to the bottom because I have a few more things to say about Trump first.
Final Thoughts
I don’t want to hear any of this nonsense about the lesser of two evils. Or the whataboutism.
Right now we’re talking about Trump. Not Biden. We know Biden is old as fuck, corrupt as fuck, and pedo as fuck. We also know he pushed for vaccine mandates and has been shipping billions overseas to Ukraine and Israel.
But, you know what?
Trump is old as fuck. In his former business dealings, he was corrupt as fuck (so he probably was while he was president, too). He might not be a pedo, but he still exhibits majorly gross behavior with women. And his childish behavior and name-calling is an embarrassment to this country.
Plus, who knows what would’ve happened if he won in 2020. Maybe he would’ve gone all in on the mandates. He can say now that he never forced anyone. But a lot of people insist that he pushed through Operation Warp Speed so he could get elected. What if he felt like he needed to mandate the jab to get things passed through Congress or to keep his acolytes happy with him? We don’t really know what he would’ve done.
What’s more, Trump was sending billions to Israel every fucking month when he was president. So don’t tell me he wouldn’t be doing the same thing Biden’s doing now. He just wasn’t/isn’t savvy enough to take 10% for himself.
Trump should never been handed the Republican nomination without fighting for it. And without renouncing all his bad policies and acknowledging his failures. But Republicans and MAGA acted like we’re in an episode of Game of Thrones and needed to bend the knee and kiss the ring of the one true king.
I’ll tell you this: If he wins in the fall, some really awful shit is heading our way. And there’s no way anyone can excuse him this time around. I’m not saying we won’t continue to get fucked if Biden (or Newsom or whoever takes the crypt keeper’s place) wins reelection, but it’s gonna be just as bad, if not worse, if Trump does.

P.S. I’m not advocating for anyone to vote for Kennedy. I have major doubts about him. That said, I’m holding out hope that someone like Spike Cohen runs for the Libertarian party.
If you feel you have to vote, I encourage you to really think of the consequences. Because this uniparty system is literally killing us.
P.S.S. I think Trump was installed, just as Biden was. I think all his talk about the illegal immigrants during his first campaign and presidency was planned ahead of time.
Take a look at this tweet. Illegal immigrant numbers were more or less steady up until the time Trump ran. While we shouldn’t have hundreds of thousands of illegals coming into the country every year, there hadn’t been a significant change in the number that would prompt him to focus so heavily on it.
I remember hearing his speeches at the time and wondering what the heck he was talking about. I mean, I knew we had illegals here, but I don’t remember there being news stories about them being violent or stealing benefits from tax-paying citizens.
What’s odd is that no one focuses on the surge in illegals in 2019. It went from an average of 400,000 a year to 850,000+.
For someone who was so big on the wall (that he never finished) and on getting Mexico to pay for it (which he never did), it’s odd to see the immigrant surge start during his presidency. Now isn’t it?
Of course Biden’s numbers are ridiculously high because he literally laid down a welcome mat for illegals. But I wonder…
If Trump had never made such a big deal about illegals, would Biden have put out a call for all to come? And would he have had the massive support that liberals/progressives seem to have for allowing illegals in?
It could just be one of those extremist swings. One party harps on an issue, so the next one does the exact opposite. But I just don’t get that sense. Things have never felt right to me with Trump. Maybe it’s his reality TV and wrestling background. But I’ve always felt like he was following a script and playing a character.
Or maybe it’s that ridiculous affectation he uses to talk now. Which he didn’t have 20 years ago when he was just a businessman.
The fact that the left has supposedly tried every tactic in the book to bring him down and have failed at every turn makes me think that’s the case. If they really wanted to jail him or keep him from running, they could’ve. Look at the power that the Clintons alone wield against their enemies.
My suspicion is that Trump is Gilliam. And that, just as we saw George W. Bush cozying up to the Obamas once his reign was over, we’ll see Trump back to schmoozing with his liberal buddies again once he’s done ruining this country for good.
My thinking is similar on these points. I probably won’t vote this time. And I would also have liked to see Ron go for Don on COVID. Ron would’ve laughed at Trump’s nicknames and jests and knocked him down on substance if he got over his odd timidity. Might have shot him up. We’ll never know.
